Whether at ANUGA in Cologne, SIGEP in Rimini, Italy, or most recently at the leading GULFOOD trade fair in Dubai—Keyaniyan Company is there.

Keyaniyan Managing Director Behnam Keyaniyan emphasizes the strategic importance of these activities: “For us, it is of central importance to be regularly represented at international trade fairs. Because those who know the industry’s developments firsthand can react more quickly and make sustainable decisions. Our customers particularly appreciate this aspect of working with Keyaniyan. Furthermore, personal contact with existing suppliers and potential new partners is crucial for us. This allows us to deepen relationships, create new synergies, and stay at the cutting edge of technology.”

Most recently, Keyaniyan employee Max Ventzke attended GULFOOD, one of the world’s largest trade fairs for food and beverages, which took place in Dubai from January 26 to 30, 2026. For the first time, the event was held simultaneously at two mega-venues, the Dubai World Trade Centre and the newly expanded Dubai Exhibition Centre, and covered a record area of approximately 280,000 square meters.

In terms of content, several key industry trends emerged at the recent trade fairs that will help shape the future development of the confectionery and food industries in general:

High-protein and functional foods that offer additional health benefits and are specifically targeted at fitness, wellness, and lifestyle consumers continue to be a clear trend.

Overarching themes such as sustainability, transparent supply chains, and eco-friendly packaging played just as important a role as sugar-free, vitamin-rich “better-for-you” products, as well as innovative approaches to protein extraction using modern biotechnological processes and the use of mycelium, the thread-like root network of fungi.

“Our recent trade show visits show that we can address many of the current trends with our natural, nutrient-rich products,” explains Behnam Keyaniyan, adding, “our product range consists of healthy products made from renewable raw materials that are suitable, for example, for the production of protein-rich foods, which are currently in high demand. Almonds are among the top contenders on the protein pyramid, but walnuts and hazelnuts are also rich in protein and, in addition, provide consumers with easily digestible carbohydrates, dietary fiber, and a range of vitamins and minerals.”

In conclusion, Behnam Keyaniyan sums it up: “Knowledge and long-standing, trusting relationships are our competitive edge. Through ongoing dialogue with industry experts, manufacturers, and market participants at trade shows, Keyaniyan gains valuable insights for the further development of its portfolio, stays abreast of current trends, and simultaneously strengthens its global network—all to the benefit of its customers.”
